Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur - striped nails with a kitty charm

Hello everyone! Before I start to show you how I did today's design I'd like to inform you, that I made a facebook account. I was thinking about doing one for a long long time and now I finally decided to go for it. So please feel free to follow me there too, so you won't miss a single post.

Yesterday evening I was sitting on my cozy couch watching The Big Bang Theory. A series I really love to watch and it was the episode where Sheldon is sick and Penny has to sing the kitty song to him. I don't know if you know it but I think is so funny and it's always a catchy tune for me which I have to sing day in and day out. So today morning I was waking up with this song in my ear soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur, happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr purr purr and it came to my mind, that I got some kitty charms upstairs in my nail art room which I haven't used up to now.

So with still one eye closed I went upstairs looking for this charm and doing my nails. I wanted to get a look with looks a bit like a simple pyjama Sheldon would maybe wear, so I came up with the idea of doing stripes. I haven't done a lot of striped nails so it's time I finally make one.

Items used:

Zoya "Zuza"
essence colour & go "wild white ways"
nail art striper
kitty charm

First of all I have no clue where the kitty charm is from. I got it as a gift from a friend but I assume you find such things eigther on amazon, ebay of bornprettystore. I painted all my nails white exept of my ring finger and let it dry (best time to enjoy my morning coffee). My ring finger was painted in this beautiful turquoise shimmery polish by Zoya. Time to do the stripes on my nails now. You could do them with nail vinyls but I wanted to draw them with a nail art striper. With a little bit concentration and enough coffee in my venes I draw lines from my cuticle area down to the tip with Zuza. It does need some practice but after a while the lines start to look smooth and accurate. I topped off everything with my favorite top coat which is Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat and placed the charm where I want to have it.

tip: If your top coat doesn't hold the charm, try to use a drop of nail glue.

That's all you need to do to get this nice striped nails and doesn't this charm look so zazzy?!

Thank you Sheldon for clearing it up for me hahahaha
